Simplisafe
SimpliSafe systems include a base unit and a keypad, and a variety of peripheral wireless accessories and sensors including video doorbells, smart locks, door sensors, motion detectors, smoke detectors, glass break sensors, and temperature monitors. These systems are designed to be self-installed. Previous systems worked on a cellular connection, while the third generation system runs off of both cellular and Wi-Fi.
Factory Reset Simplisafe Systems
If you have trouble to factory reset Simplisafe systems, just follow the simple steps given below.
SimpliSafe Base Station
Detach the SimpliSafe base station from the power socket.
Flip the base station upside down to reach the battery door.
Open the battery door with a screwdriver and remove the batteries within the battery compartment.
Hold on for about 30-45 seconds.
Plug the base back into the wall socket.
Now, replace the batteries removed from the base station.
SimpliSafe Keypad
Unscrew the bottom of the base station.
“Twist” the bottom to release it.
Find the black button 180 degrees from the power cable slot.
Press that button and any button on the keypad.
The SimpliSafe keypad is now reset.
SimpliSafe Camera
Power on the camera.
Press the Reset button on the camera for about “20 seconds”.
The status light goes off and then flashes.
Now, place the SimpliSafe Camera on top of the box.
Keep your phone camera approximately 18 inches away from the camera lens.
Make sure that the lens is at the center of the screen.
Take your phone slowly near to the CAMERA.
The phone is detected by the camera at about six inches away.
SimpliSafe Pin
Switch your alarm off.
Remind yourself of the current Master PIN.
Press the Menu button on your keypad.
Key in the “current Master PIN” in the text field.
The first option of the Menu panel is Change your PIN.
“Select” the first option by pressing the blue Away button.
“Input “your new PIN.
Confirm the pin by re-entering it again.
Press the Menu button again to exit.
SimpliSafe Siren
Press the black button on the back side of the siren.
Push the Off button on your keychain remote repeatedly while simultaneously holding down the black button.
The Siren will emit a short tone after pressing the Off button thrice.
SimpliSafe Alarm
Open the exit door.
Put the status of the lock in the Home mode in the app.
Now, exit the house and close the door.
Another method is to exit and hit the Off button.
Now, press the Away button while still pressing Off.
The alarm is reset.
SimpliSafe Doorbell
Remove the doorbell camera from the app.
Unscrew the bottom of the doorbell and remove it from the base.
Hold down the larger button behind the camera for a full minute.
Release the button and wait for 30 seconds.
Now, install the camera again following the instructions given above.
Reconnect the camera to the base only when the bar code scanning step has to be done.
